About Sunridge Hotel Group
Paul Welker founded Sunridge Properties and began operations in 1981 developing small office, apartments & his first hotel project (the Best Western Pinetop Inn) in Pinetop, Arizona. The main area of focus for Sunridge has always been in the hospitality industry with the development of approximately 30 hotel projects representing various hotel brands. In recent years our emphasis has been on the development of Marriott brand hotels which comprise our entire current portfolio with the exception of one hotel. Currently, Sunridge has all Marriott CFRST brands either open, under development & construction, or in the development pipeline.
Since joining Marriott in 2000, Sunridge has received numerous awards including multiple “Management Company of the Year” awards, multiple “Best New Opening” awards and awards for highest “Guest Satisfaction scores” (GSS), just to name a few. At the past three Marriott owner’s conferences, Sunridge Hotel Group was awarded Marriott’s most prestigious award, “The Partnership Circle Award”, which is presented to Marriott’s top eight management & development companies.
